Following his declaration that he was unaware of the serious challenges at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, the New Patriotic Party says President John Mahama has lost touch with the realities confronting Ghanaians.

The Mahama government has come under fire over its decision not to pursue anymore the retrieval of the GH¢51 million consent judgment debt paid to businessman Alfred Woyome in 2010.

The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says recent utterances by President Mahama, coupled with his actions and inactions over the last 8 years, point to a President who appears to have little understanding of democracy.
