The governing New Patriotic Party has laughed off claims by the former President John Dramani Mahama that he will ensure a vigorous fight is mounted against the canker of corruption if Ghanaians vote next year to return him to power in 2021.

Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia has said that even though former President John Mahama may be seen as “a nice man”, the one thing Ghanaians cannot forget about him is that he is an “incompetent leader”.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has chided the former President and leader of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, over his “unprincipled and indecisive” stance on the aborted December 17 referendum.
