A telegraphic transfer letter addressed to the Royal Bank of Canada, 90 Parks Street, Ontario, directed the bank to transfer the amount from the Ghana High Commission in Canada’s Retention Fund to the Ghana Covid-19 National Trust Fund.

Some known executives of the group are Keli Tamaklo, President; Evelyn Obuobi, Vice-President;  Ed Andrews, Public Relations Director; Kwame Ofori, Social Director; and Naa Ocloo, Secretary, with Leo Sam as Patron.

The National Covid-19 Trust Fund was established by the government to raise resources to support the country’s fight against the global pandemic.

Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the fund, has assured Ghanaians that proceeds will be disbursed in a transparent and accountable manner.

“I want to assure the public of our commitment to the job that we have been sent to do, and we’ll make sure that all the distributions will be made in accordance with the statutes,” she has stated.
