Ghana has signed a €5.026 million grant agreement with Germany to build a community waste-to-energy project in the Ashanti Region.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has charged finance ministers, central bank governors and African governors of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund to help realise the vision of a self-reliant Africa that is no longer dependent on aid and charity.

The government has announced that work on over GHC3 billion worth of cocoa roads is set to commence in cocoa-growing areas across Ghana as contractors are supplied with funds to resume work.
